OBJECTIVE: Manage and further develop the Chamber family of
websites. Increase web traffic by implementing advanced search
engine optimization techniques. (2007 Visitors - 2.6 million)

  • Maintain status as most relied upon area site
  • In September, begin work on the 2009 Legislative Priorities Package
  • Continue to add enhancements throughout the Chamber’s website increasing end-user experience

  • Develop our Sports Website into an avenue for information unique to the Prospecting Daytona Beach area

  • Continue to be the premier site for Bike Week related information
  • Update Master Calendar, Bike Week Survival Guide, Accommodations and Vending Area
  • Review and enhance Bike Week Picture Gallery, Official Merchandise and Event Services

  • Target business sectors to encourage relocation to the area
  • Research related websites for direction
  • Add new features designed to increase BDP recruitment efforts

  • Volusia County Association for Responsible Development’s (VCARD) site willpromote the involvement of professionals who work in all aspects of land development
  • Increase online content and inclusion in the major search engines

  • Complete transition of the Daytona Beach Young Professionals Group website
  • Support existing features and investigate new initiatives for ‘08

MOTORSPORTS.COM

  • This new website, created by the Motorsports Think Tank, will generate fresh ideas on how to enhance motorsport related growth
  • Promote the motorsport industry in our local community and surrounding area

  • Enhanced The Chamber’s Online Searchable Membership Directory
  • Improved graphics and increased ease of use
  • Upgraded Chamber member profiles to reflect membership in Chamber affiliate organizations (VCARD and BDP)
  • Developed Chamber Member area focused on Chamber membership and created the ability for organizations to have multiple email contacts
  • Created an area online to showcase past Chamber Newsletters
  • Created an area for the 2007 Plan of Action featuring each department and including the

  • Promoted the “World’s Largest Motorcycle Event® to a national and international audience
  • Maintained updated calendar of events for potential visitors
  • Provided vending information and availability to assist local businesses
  • The Chamber’s Online Visitor Information Center was updated with emphasis on online content

  • Successfully launched the new Business Development website
  • Provided searchable Real Estate Database for BDP members used to promote commercial property available for sale or lease
